Caught On Tape: Houston Jewelry Store Owner Pistol-Whipped And Robbed (VIDEO)

Houston, TX - Surveillance video continued to roll inside Java Gold as two men walked inside to appraise some jewelry.

Owner Mehmood Ghaznavi didn't suspect anything was wrong as the men sat down to chat at his desk about the jewelry, but a third man would walk in and Ghaznavi would find his life hanging in the balance.
The three men pulled out their handguns and began demanding cash and jewelry and even started unleashing a beating on the Ghaznavi's face, pistol whipping him as many as four times.
Ghaznavi said, "Because they got the gun on your face and they are hitting you with the gun hard, you know. It was a matter of seconds, you live or you die. "
The two men, Erion Fountain and Charston Meachum are now in custody awaiting trial, but the third man is still on the loose.

Gunman shoots 4 officers inside Detroit precinct

DETROIT – A gunman opened fire inside a Detroit police precinct on Sunday, wounding four officers including a commander before he was shot and killed by police, authorities said.
The gunman walked in through the precinct's revolving door shortly after 4 p.m. and opened fire indescriminantly at officers, police said. The officers fired back, killing the gunman.
"Utter chaos and pandemonium took place," Police Chief Ralph Godbee said at a news conference. "We have a number of officers who are shaken up."
Godbee said the gunman has been identified but it was "too early to characterize" him while the investigation was ongoing.
The chief said along with the commander, two sergeants and an officer were wounded, but none appeared to have life threatening injuries.
The commander, who was shot in the back, appeared to be the most seriously wounded. Godbee said he underwent surgery Sunday evening and his prognosis was "very good." A sergeant and an officer who each suffered graze gunshot wounds to the head were both talking and alert, Godbee said.
A female sergeant also was treated and released after her bullet-resistant vest deflected a bullet to the chest, Godbee said.
Police also did not immediately release the names of the wounded officers, saying families had not been notified in all cases.
While the department was "very sobered" by the shootings, Godbee said he was "just very relieved that it appears all of our officers are going to be OK."
The one-story brick building is located along the main street in what is a predominantly business district on the city's northwest side. After the shooting, city and state police squad cars converged on the scene, and an ambulance was seen taking away at least one victim.
Like other precincts in the city, there are no metal detectors at the entrance and visitors are permitted to come in and talk face-to-face with police sitting behind a large, rounded desk.
"We have to take a step back and look at security at each of our facilities . . . as far as we screen our public when they come in," Godbee said.
Retired police Sgt. David Malhalab told The Associated Press that after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the precincts added hand-held metal detectors at the public entrances. He worked at the 6th precinct for years and says the desks are open once you walk in the door.
"I was always very comfortable working the desk because I wanted that one-on-one feeling with the public, but I thought it was an accident waiting to happen and it did," said Malhalab, who spent 23 years on the force and retired in 2005.
Several officers leaving the precinct Sunday night declined to comment about the shooting.
"It's very somber mood, the officers are still somewhat shocked that this happened," said the Rev. Jerome Warfield, chair of the Detroit Police Board of Commissioners, who visited the precinct with other members of the board after leaving the hospital where the wounded offcers were being treated.

Lil Wayne Says He's Never Going Back To New York

If you're in New York and you want see a live Lil Wayne performance be prepared to travel.

The rapper has no love for the state after serving eight months in prison on gun charges, and says he's never coming back.

DMX made a similar proclamation about the state of Arizona before changing his mind.

As of now, Weezy can't see a New York appearance happening unless a promoter is willing to back a Brinks truck up to his tour bus.

They’d have to give me U2 money,” Wayne told Rolling Stone via Rap-Up.

Considering three of Young Money's artists, Cory Gunz, Jae Millz and Nicki Minaj are from New York it will be interesting to see how this all pans out.

Shocking Sexual Incident At An Oakland California Elementary School Being Investigted!!!

'Two shocking sexual incidents involving second graders at an elementary school in Oakland has led to a full investigation into exactly what happened, district officials announced Thursday. A letter sent out to parents, caregivers and staff at Oakland's Markham Elementary by the school's Principal Pam Booker on Thursday expressed "deep regret" about two incidents that took place at the school last week but weren't reported to officials until Wednesday. The letter outlined two separate incidents that took place between students on the campus of the school.

"According to the allegation, the first incident involved several students who undressed, at least partially, while acting disruptively in the classroom," the letter read. "The second incident concerned two students who engaged in sexually explicit behavior, also in the classroom." It was confirmed with district officials Thursday that the sexually explicit behavior mentioned in the letter was oral sex between two second graders, a girl and a boy. Officials also confirmed that both incidents happened in the same classroom. Parents with children who attend the school were understandably disturbed. "How about second graders even knowing to do that?" asked student mother Tiffany Martinez.

"I still don't know how that could happen," said Alan Saunders, the father of a student at Markham Elementary. "They're imitating what they're seeing. They didn't learn it at school." Oakland School District Spokesman Troy Flint said the incidents came to light Wednesday when students told a teacher's aide, who in turn told the principal. "It's not unheard of for children to engage in sexually explorative behavior at an early age," said Flint. "But what's particularly concerning about this incident is it occurred in a classroom, which is supposed to be a safe haven. It is an unacceptable situation."

District officials wouldn't say if any teachers have been suspended Thursday, but did note that "action has been taken to address those adults who were present." The letter that was sent home Thursday stated that "The teacher in the classroom where the acts allegedly occurred will not be reporting to the site, "ending the results of further investigation." The letter also apologized for the incidents and stated the school would "take whatever actions are necessary to ensure that a similar act does not occur again." Markham Elementary is located near the intersection of 73rd Avenue and Bancroft Avenue, one of the highest crime-ridden neighborhoods of Oakland.

District officials said test scores at the school have been rising the past two years. Second graders who observed what happened or were involved in incidents were being offered counseling.'

Will Smith Looking To Remake "Annie" Musical With His Daughter Willow In The Lead Role. Jay-Z In Talks To Work On Some Of The Music

Will Smith is looking into remaking the popular 1982 musical "Annie", with his daughter Willow cast in the lead role.

Variety is reporting that Sony and Will's Overbrook Entertainment production company would back the project.

Sony is said to be especially interested because it did very well financially on the "Karate Kid" remake, which starred Will's son, Jaden. The film has grossed $350 million worldwide to date.

Jay-Z reportedly is in talks to work on music for the film.

Hov's addition would be very interesting considering one of his biggest hits "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" sampled the song "Hard Knock Life" from the original movie.

Reps for the project have not revealed whether or not the remake will include all new songs, or also have some from the original.
